Every day IRIDE Monitor reads Ukraine, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Bulgaria and Serbia straight from their primary sources — company registers, financial statements, public procurement, state aid, statistical offices — and puts all 193 territories on the same yardstick. Where others approximate, the observatory counts.
A territory is judged by four questions: where it pays to put down roots, where the economy is moving, where businesses hold up, where the population holds. Each answer is a composite index built with the OECD/JRC method from the same ingredients in every country; every territory is lined up with all the others, and the number says where in the line it stands, from 0 to 100. Here, the country averages; on the globe above, every single territory.

Not «monitored»: watched closely. For each one, primary sources are read daily by our own programs, with coverage dates declared and gaps written down. What follows is what we hold in house, today.
Company registers, filed financial statements, procurement portals, state aid registers, statistical offices, Eurostat: 386 sources read every day, each with its own date.
Every composite index cites the academic work its weights and formulas come from (OECD/JRC 2008, Groh & Wich, Baumohl-Kocenda, Hirschman, UN DESA) and declares the ingredients that are missing.
The status of every Ukrainian municipality — occupied, active fighting, at risk — comes from the ministry’s official list, recalculated every Monday. The front line is our own elaboration, and we say so.
In public we publish positions and bands, never exact values. The figures, the company names and the full series live in the reports and in the reserved area.
They answer the question that matters: where it pays to produce, in which of the seven countries and in which territory. Competitors, entry costs, the sector’s tenders and funds, in a ninety-day plan.
Request a sector reportOpen tenders and funding calls across the seven countries, filtered on the client’s sector, with deadline and contracting body. Today we hold 38,003 open tenders and 10,991 calls.

Request accessIRIDE Monitor is an independent economic observatory on Eastern Europe, based in Cluj-Napoca. It began by tracking Italian companies in Romania — hence the name, Italian Romanian Investment Development Monitor — and today it keeps seven countries on the same yardstick, from Ukraine to Serbia. It is published by Zenith Data S.R.L.
We sell no advertising and represent no institutions or governments. We live on the reports and data our clients ask for: which is why a wrong number costs us more than anyone.
We work in Romania, inside the region we measure, close to the sources and their languages. With clients we speak Italian, Romanian and English.
We write the programs that read registers, financial statements and tenders ourselves, and they run every day on our own servers. Every number we publish has a source, a date and a recipe we can show.
A question about a sector, a country, a territory? Write to us: we reply within one working day, in Italian, Romanian or English.
